2002 ANSI Standards for Acoustics in Educational Settings defined the necessary criteria for children with auditory problems to access verbal instruction. This is a consideration that affects hundreds of thousands of US children and their educational success and vocational futures. Children with hearing loss need not have limited success due to limited listening ability caused by poor acoustics. This issue surely must be of greater importance in the realm of accessibility than golf carts and amusement rides. Help a child learn - let him hear clearly in the classroom!
